Safety Information

Setup
- Remove Old Tank (if applicable): If replacing an existing water tank, gently press the release button or mechanism on your Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P to detach the old tank.
- Open Water Fill Cap: Locate the water fill cap on the top of the new water tank (refer to Figure 1 and Figure 4). Open it by lifting or sliding the cap.
- Fill with Water: Carefully fill the tank with clean, filtered water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line, if indicated. Avoid using hot water.
- Close Water Fill Cap: Securely close the water fill cap to prevent leaks during operation.
- Install Tank: Align the water tank with the designated slot on your Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P. Gently push it into place until you hear a click, indicating it is securely attached. Ensure the attachment pins (Figure 3) are properly seated.
Operating Instructions
Once the water tank is filled and installed, the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P will automatically detect its presence and enable mopping functions. Refer to your Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P's main instruction manual for specific operating modes and settings related to mopping.
- Water Flow Control: Water flow is typically controlled via the Mi Home app settings for your robot vacuum. Adjust the water level according to your floor type and cleaning needs.
- Monitoring Water Level: Periodically check the water level through the transparent section of the tank (Figure 2) to ensure sufficient water for cleaning tasks.
- Refilling: When the water level is low, remove the tank, refill it as described in the 'Setup' section, and reattach it to the robot.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the water tank functions correctly and prevents issues.
- Empty After Use: It is recommended to empty any remaining water from the tank after each mopping session to prevent stagnant water and potential odor buildup.
- Rinse Regularly: Rinse the inside of the water tank with clean water periodically.
- Clean Water Outlets: If you notice reduced water flow, inspect the small water outlets on the bottom of the tank for any blockages. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clear them. Do not use sharp objects.
- Air Dry: After cleaning, allow the water tank to air dry completely before storing or refilling.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals on the water tank, as these can damage the plastic.
Troubleshooting
- No Water Dispensing:
- Ensure the water tank is properly filled and securely installed.
- Check if the water outlets on the bottom of the tank are clogged. Clean them if necessary.
- Verify that the mopping function is enabled in the robot's app settings.
- Water Leakage:
- Ensure the water fill cap is securely closed.
- Check if the water tank is correctly seated and clicked into place on the robot.
- Inspect the tank for any cracks or damage. If damaged, replace the tank.
- Odor from Tank:
- Empty and thoroughly rinse the tank with clean water. Allow it to air dry completely.
- Always empty the tank after each use to prevent stagnant water.
