1. Introduction

The DIKANG Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer is designed for accurate and hygienic temperature measurement of the human body. 2. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the thermometer. Failure to follow these instructions may result in inaccurate readings or device damage.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The DIKANG Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the handle of the thermometer.
  2. Slide or open the cover according to the indicator.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, matching the (+) and (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On

After battery installation, the device is ready for use. Press the measurement trigger to power on the thermometer. The LCD display will illuminate.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Taking a Measurement

To obtain an accurate temperature reading:

  1. Ensure the thermometer is powered on.
  2. Point the thermometer at the center of the forehead, maintaining a distance of 1-5 cm (0.4-2 inches).
  3. Press the measurement trigger. The reading will appear on the LCD display within one second.
  4. The thermometer may emit a voice prompt indicating the temperature reading.

4.2 Changing Temperature Units (Celsius/Fahrenheit)

The thermometer can display temperatures in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). To switch between units:

  1. With the thermometer powered on, press and hold the SET button.
  2. The screen will display "F-1". Release the SET button.
  3. Press and hold the SET button again, and repeat this action until the screen displays "F-3".
  4. While "F-3" is displayed, use the UP or DOWN arrow buttons (if present, or the measurement trigger if it cycles options) to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  5. Once your desired unit is selected, release the button and the setting will be saved.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Thermometer
