Basic Operation:

  • Turn On/Off: Gently press and release the power switch button once to turn the flashlight on or off. The flashlight will activate in the last used general mode (Low, Middle Low, Middle, High).
  • Change Output Levels (General Modes): When the flashlight is on, press and hold the power switch button to cycle through the general brightness levels: 20 lumens (Low) → 200 lumens (Middle Low) → 900 lumens (Middle) → 2000 lumens (High). Release the button to select the desired output.

Special Modes:

  • Turbo Mode (4000 Lumens): From any general mode (or from off), quickly double-click the power switch button to activate Turbo mode. The flashlight will emit 4000 lumens. Due to the high output and compact size, the flashlight will generate significant heat and will automatically step down to a lower output after a short period to prevent overheating.
  • Strobe Mode: While in Turbo mode, quickly double-click the power switch button again to activate Strobe mode.

Lockout Function:

To prevent accidental activation, the LD70 features a lockout function.

  • Lock/Unlock: With the flashlight off, quickly press the power switch button four times. The OLED display will show a lock icon to indicate it is locked, or unlock to indicate it is unlocked.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your IMALENT LD70 flashlight.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe the flashlight body. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid completely draining the battery, as this can reduce its lifespan.
  • Storage: Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and consider activating the lockout function.
  • O-rings: Periodically check the O-rings for wear and tear. Replace them if damaged to maintain the flashlight's waterproof rating.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your IMALENT LD70, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Flashlight Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the flashlight to the magnetic charger.
    • Verify the flashlight is not in lockout mode. Quickly press the power switch four times to unlock.
    • Confirm you are pressing the button correctly (a gentle press and release for on/off, not a long press).
  • Flashlight Gets Hot in High Modes:
    • This is normal behavior for high-lumen flashlights, especially in Turbo mode (4000 lumens). The compact design means heat dissipates through the body.
    • The flashlight has a built-in thermal management system that will automatically step down the output to prevent overheating and protect the LED and battery.
  • Short Battery Life:
    • Higher brightness modes (e.g., 900 lumens, 2000 lumens, 4000 lumens) consume significantly more power, resulting in shorter runtimes.
    • For extended battery life, use lower output modes (20 or 200 lumens) when sufficient.
  • Charging Issues:
    • Ensure the magnetic charging cable is securely and correctly attached to the flashlight's charging port.
    • Check if the USB power source is functioning correctly.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact IMALENT customer support for further assistance.
