4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Globe Electric Smart Video Doorbell:

    • Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The doorbell does not support 5 GHz networks for initial setup.
    • Follow the app's instructions to put the doorbell into pairing mode (usually indicated by a flashing light).
    • Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password into the app.
    • The app will generate a QR code. Hold your doorbell's camera lens in front of your phone's screen to scan the QR code. You will hear a confirmation sound when successful.
    • Once connected, the doorbell's indicator light will change, and the app will confirm successful pairing. You can then switch your phone back to a 5 GHz network if preferred.
  6. Install the Doorbell:
    • Choose a suitable location near your front door, ensuring a clear view and good Wi-Fi signal strength.
    • Use the included mounting bracket as a template to mark drill holes on the wall or door frame.
    • Drill the holes and insert the wall anchors if necessary.

  • Live View: Open the GLOBE SUITE™ App and tap on your doorbell device. This will initiate a live video feed from the doorbell's camera, allowing you to see and hear what's happening in real-time.
  • Two-Way Talk: While in Live View, tap the microphone icon to enable two-way audio. You can then speak through the doorbell's speaker, and hear responses through your phone. Tap the icon again to end the conversation.
  • Motion Detection: The doorbell is equipped with a motion sensor. When motion is detected within its range (up to 6 meters), you will receive an instant notification on your smartphone via the GLOBE SUITE™ App. You can adjust motion sensitivity settings within the app.
  • Night Vision: The doorbell automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white video. No manual adjustment is required.
  • Event History: The app stores recordings of events such as doorbell rings and motion detections. You can review these recordings in the app's event history section. (Note: Cloud storage or local storage options may vary; refer to app for details).

It is recommended to perform these updates to ensure the device has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. Ensure the doorbell has sufficient battery charge before starting an update.
