Important Safety Instructions

Setup

  1. Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
  3. Ensure the power cord is fully extended and not touching any hot surfaces.
  4. Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) for a few minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this initial use. Allow the toaster to cool completely.

Operating Instructions

Basic Toasting

  1. Plug the toaster into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Place up to two slices of bread or other items into the toasting slots.
  3. Select your desired browning level using the shade control knob (1 for lightest, 6 for darkest).
  4. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected function (if any) will illuminate.
  5. When the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up.
  6. If the toast is not sufficiently browned, you may lower the lever again. For slightly darker toast, select a higher shade setting for the next cycle.

Function Buttons

The toaster features three dedicated function buttons:

  • CANCEL: Stops the toasting process at any time. Press this button to immediately eject the toast and turn off the heating elements.
  • REHEAT: Warms previously toasted bread without further browning. This mode typically heats for approximately 30 seconds.
  • DEFROST: Defrosts and toasts frozen bread. This setting adds extra time to the toasting cycle to account for thawing.

Using the Warming Rack

To use the integrated warming rack for items like croissants or rolls:

  1. Gently push the lever on the side of the toaster upwards to raise the warming rack.
  2. Place the items to be warmed on the rack.
  3. Select a low shade setting (e.g., 1 or 2) and press the toast lever down.
  4. Monitor the items closely to prevent over-browning or burning.
  5. Once warmed, lift the lever to lower the rack and carefully remove the items.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

  1. Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Cleaning the Crumb Tray:
    • Locate the removable crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster.
    • Pull the tray out to remove crumbs.
    • Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
    • Ensure the tray is completely dry before reinserting it into the toaster.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish.
  4. Cleaning the Interior: Do not insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean them. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully invert it to shake out the debris.
