FlowState Stabilization
The camera features FlowState Stabilization, which provides gimbal-like stability without the need for external equipment. This technology uses a scene-detection algorithm to ensure your footage remains smooth and steady, even in challenging conditions or low light.
Low-Light Performance
Equipped with a 1-inch sensor, the Insta360 ONE R excels in low-light environments. This larger sensor captures more light, preserving detail and color in dimly lit indoor scenes or during night-time shooting, where other cameras might struggle.
Waterproofing
The Insta360 ONE R is IPX8 waterproof, allowing it to be submerged up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) without a dive case. Ensure all modules are correctly assembled and the port covers are sealed before exposing the camera to water.

HDR Mode
Utilize HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode to capture a wider range of light and shadow detail in your photos and videos. This mode is particularly effective in scenes with high contrast, such as bright skies and dark foregrounds.

Connecting to the App
Download the Insta360 app on your mobile device. Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your camera and phone. Open the app, select your camera, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect. The app allows for remote control, footage preview, editing, and sharing.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lens and screen. For stubborn smudges, a lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be used sparingly. Ensure the camera is dry before closing any ports.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is charged to approximately 50-60% to prolong its lifespan.
- Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the battery regularly, even if the camera is not in use, to maintain battery health.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the Insta360 app or desktop software to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. If the battery is charged, try removing and reinserting the battery base.
- Overheating: High-resolution recording, especially in warm environments, can cause the camera to heat up. If the camera displays an overheating warning, stop recording and allow it to cool down.
- Connectivity Issues: If the camera fails to connect to the app, ensure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on both devices. Try restarting both the camera and your mobile device.
- Poor Image Quality: Check that the lens is clean and free from smudges. Ensure proper lighting conditions and correct camera settings for your environment.
- Water Leakage: If water enters the camera, immediately power it off and contact customer support. Ensure all modules are correctly sealed before water exposure.
