Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
- Lens: Use a lens brush to remove dust, then a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
- Sensor: Sensor cleaning should only be performed by authorized service personnel or experienced users with appropriate tools. Improper cleaning can cause permanent damage.
- LCD Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for screens.
2. Battery Care
Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
3. Firmware Updates
Periodically check the official Leica website for firmware updates. Updates can improve camera performance, add new features, and fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided by Leica carefully when performing an update.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Camera does not power on. | Battery is discharged or incorrectly inserted. | Charge the battery fully. Reinsert the battery correctly. |
| Images are blurry. | Incorrect focus, camera shake, or dirty lens. | Check focus mode and focus point. Ensure image stabilization is active. Clean the lens. Use a faster shutter speed. |
| SD card error. | Card is full, corrupted, or incompatible. | Format the SD card (this will erase all data). Try a different, compatible SD card. |
| Video recording stops unexpectedly. | SD card write speed is too slow or card is full. | Use a high-speed SD card (UHS-II, V60 or higher recommended). Ensure sufficient space on the card. |
