4.2 Installation Steps (Room-Side)
- Prepare the Opening: Use the provided template on the product packaging to cut the appropriate size hole in the ceiling. The template dimensions are 10.5" x 9.75". Ensure the orientation is correct for duct connection.
- Mount the Housing: For retrofit installations, fold the mounting ears back. Slide the fan housing into the ceiling hole. Secure the housing to the ceiling structure by driving screws through the housing wall. For new construction, use the mounting ears to attach directly to the ceiling joists.
- Connect Ductwork: Attach the duct connector to the fan housing. Connect the existing or new ductwork to the connector, ensuring a tight seal with foil tape. The Easy-Duct connector allows for room-side installation without attic access.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the electrical wiring to the fan. All electrical connections must comply with local codes.
- Install Blower Assembly: Insert the blower assembly into the housing and secure it with the provided screws.
- Install LED Light Panel: Connect the LED light panel to the electrical connector. Carefully position the light panel and secure it.
- Attach Trim Kit: Choose your desired trim (White, Brushed Bronze, or Brushed Nickel) and snap it into place over the light panel.
