Setup
Powering the Boombox
The MEGATEK Portable CD Boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.
AC Power Operation
- Ensure the boombox is placed on a stable, flat surface.
- Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC input jack on the back of the boombox.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz).
- The unit is now ready for use.
Battery Operation
For portable use, the boombox requires 4 x R14/Size C dry batteries (6 VDC), which are not included. Alkaline batteries are recommended for best performance.
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the boombox.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 4 C-size batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
General Controls
Familiarize yourself with the main controls on the boombox:
- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Volume Dial: Adjusts the audio output level.
- Mode/EQ Button: Switches between different audio sources (CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, AUX) and cycles through equalizer modes.
- LCD Display: Shows current mode, track number, time, and FM frequency.
- Play/Pause Button: Starts or pauses playback.
- Stop Button: Stops playback.
- Skip/Scan Buttons: Skips tracks or scans radio frequencies.
- Repeat Button: Repeats current track or all tracks.

CD Player Operation
The boombox supports CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3-CD formats.
- Open the CD compartment cover located on top of the unit.
- Carefully place a CD with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
- Close the CD compartment cover.
- Press the Mode/EQ button until "CD" mode is selected on the LCD display.
- The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the Play/Pause button.
- Use the Skip/Scan buttons to navigate between tracks.
- Press the Repeat button to repeat the current track or all tracks.
- Press the Stop button to stop playback.

FM Radio Operation
Enjoy your favorite FM radio stations with digital tuning and 30 station presets.
- Extend the FM antenna for optimal reception.
- Press the Mode/EQ button until "FM" mode is selected on the LCD display.
- Use the Tuning Dial (large dial on the right) to manually tune to a desired frequency.
- To auto-scan and save presets: Press and hold the Play/Pause button. The radio will scan and save available stations automatically.
- To recall presets: Use the Skip/Scan buttons to cycle through saved stations.

Bluetooth Operation
Wirelessly stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Press the Mode/EQ button until "BT" (Bluetooth) mode is selected on the LCD display. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing "BT" icon.
- On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "MEGATEK CB-M25BT" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the "BT" icon will stop flashing, and you can play audio from your device through the boombox.

USB Player Operation
Play MP3 or WMA music files directly from a USB flash drive (FAT32 format, up to 128 GB).
- Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the boombox.
- Press the Mode/EQ button until "USB" mode is selected on the LCD display.
- Playback will begin automatically.
- Use the Skip/Scan buttons to navigate between tracks.
- Press the Repeat button for repeat functions.

AUX Input Operation
Connect external audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input jack on the front of the boombox.
- Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the Mode/EQ button until "AUX" mode is selected on the LCD display.
- Play audio from your external device. The sound will be routed through the boombox speakers.
Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack on the front of the unit. The speakers will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
Equalizer (EQ) Modes
The boombox features 5 integrated equalizer modes to fine-tune the sound. Press the Mode/EQ button repeatedly while in playback mode to cycle through the available EQ presets (e.g., Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Flat).

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc or a soft, lint-free cloth designed for optical lenses.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power source before cleaning.
Care and Handling
- Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- Do not block the ventilation openings.
- Keep the unit away from strong magnetic fields.
- If using batteries, remove them if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
