Maintenance and Cleaning
General Cleaning:
- Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Never immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
- The filter (if removable) can be rinsed under running water. Ensure it is dry before reattaching.
Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside your kettle, especially in hard water areas. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance and extend the life of your kettle.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Boil the solution.
- Allow the solution to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer if limescale is heavy.
- Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue and vinegar smell.
- If necessary, repeat the process.
