Setup and Installation

The EXZEIT LED Driving Lights are designed for universal fitment on ATVs, motorcycles, and UTVs. Installation involves mounting the lights securely and connecting them to your vehicle's electrical system.

Mounting

Each light comes with a sturdy mounting bracket and hardware. Choose a suitable location on your vehicle, such as the front forks, crash bars, or fairing, ensuring the lights have a clear line of sight and do not obstruct other components. Secure the lights firmly using the provided bolts and nuts.

Wiring Instructions

The lights feature a high/low beam switch function, requiring specific wiring connections. Refer to the diagram below for proper wiring.

  • The wiring harness includes three wires for each light: Red, Yellow, and Black.
  • Connect the Black wire to the vehicle's negative (-) terminal or a suitable ground point.
  • Connect the Red wire to the vehicle's positive (+) power source for the low beam function.
  • Connect the Yellow wire to the vehicle's positive (+) power source for the high beam function.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the EXZEIT LED Driving Lights are simple to operate.

Switching Between High and Low Beam

The high and low beam functions are controlled by the respective power inputs as per the wiring diagram (Figure 4). Depending on your vehicle's setup, you may use a dedicated switch or integrate them with existing headlight controls.

  • To activate the low beam, provide power to the Red wire. The low beam provides a focused light pattern suitable for general driving and avoiding glare to other road users.
  • To activate the high beam, provide power to the Yellow wire. The high beam offers a broader and more intense light output for maximum visibility in dark or off-road conditions.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EXZEIT LED Driving Lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the polycarbonate lens or aluminum finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Ensure the mounting hardware remains secure.
  • Waterproof Integrity: While the lights are IP68 rated, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the lights during washing, especially at the seals.
  • Storage: If storing the vehicle for an extended period, ensure the lights are clean and dry.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EXZEIT LED Driving Lights, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Lights Not Turning On:
    • Check all wiring connections (positive, negative, high/low beam wires) for proper contact and security.
    • Verify the power source (battery, fuse) is providing adequate voltage.
    • Inspect the fuse in your vehicle's circuit for the lights; replace if blown.
  • Dim or Flickering Lights:
    • Ensure all connections are clean and free of corrosion, which can impede current flow.
    • Check for loose ground connections.
    • Verify the vehicle's charging system is functioning correctly, providing stable voltage.
  • One Light Not Working:
    • Swap the non-working light with the working one (if applicable) to determine if the issue is with the light unit or the wiring to that specific side.
    • Re-check the wiring for the affected light.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact EXZEIT customer support for further assistance.
