The camcorder features built-in infrared light for recording in dark environments.

  1. Ensure the battery has been charged for at least 3 hours for optimal IR performance.
  2. Toggle the IR Night Vision Switch to activate the function. The image will change from color to black and white.
  3. The effective range for IR night vision is approximately 16 feet.

4.3 Wi-Fi Connection and Remote Control

Connect the camcorder to your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi for remote control and live viewing.

  1. Download the "D Video" app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Turn on the camcorder and set the mode button to "SET".
  3. Touch the camcorder screen and select the Wi-Fi icon.
  4. The Wi-Fi name (SSID: HDV) and password (PWD: 12345678) will be displayed on the camcorder screen.
  5. On your smartphone/tablet, go to Wi-Fi settings, find the Wi-Fi name "HDV", and enter the password.
  6. Open the "D Video" app to remotely control the camera recording.
  7. To disconnect Wi-Fi, press the "PHOTO" button on the camcorder.

Note: The effective Wi-Fi distance is less than 9.8 feet. The camcorder cannot connect to your home router.

5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

  • Keep the camcorder away from dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the camcorder to strong impacts.

  • Fully charge batteries before extended storage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Image is blurry/out of focus: This camera has a fixed zoom lens. Ensure the focusing distance is 3 feet or more. For close-up shots, use a macro lens and maintain a distance of 1.5-2 inches from the object.
  • Remote control not working: Ensure the wide-angle lens is removed when using the remote control, as it may obstruct the IR signal hole.
  • Poor sound/image quality: For optimal viewing and listening experience, upload videos to a 4K TV or computer.
  • Camcorder not turning on: Check if the battery is correctly inserted and fully charged.
  • SD card error: Ensure the SD card is properly inserted and has been formatted within the camcorder.
