The printer is designed for use exclusively with genuine Epson cartridges. When an ink cartridge is low or empty, a message will appear on the touchscreen.
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Press the tab on the empty cartridge to release it, then remove it.
- Unpack a new genuine Epson ink cartridge and shake it gently before inserting.
- Insert the new cartridge firmly until it clicks into place.
- Close the ink cartridge cover. The printer will initiate an ink charging cycle.
Important: Do not use non-Epson brand ink cartridges or supplies, as they may not function properly or at all and could damage the printer.

- Check all cable connections (USB, Ethernet) or Wi-Fi connection status.

4.3 Print Quality Issues
- Perform a nozzle check and print head cleaning from the printer's maintenance menu.
- Ensure genuine Epson ink cartridges are installed and not expired.
- Verify that the correct paper type and print quality settings are selected in your print driver.
- If smudging occurs, especially at the start of prints, ensure the paper path is clear and consider using appropriate paper settings for media thickness.
