Goplus EP23152 5-Stage Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System User Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Goplus EP23152 5-Stage Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System. This system is designed to provide your household with high-quality, clean, and healthy drinking water by effectively removing a wide range of contaminants. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new water filtration system. Please read it thoroughly before beginning installation or use.

2. Product Features

The Goplus EP23152 system incorporates advanced filtration technology to ensure superior water quality:

  • Comprehensive 5-Stage Filtration: Certified by WQA, the system includes PP (Polypropylene), UDF (Granular Activated Carbon), CTO (Carbon Block), RO (Reverse Osmosis Membrane), and T33 (Post-Activated Carbon) filters. This multi-stage process removes up to 99% of chlorine, chemicals, heavy metals, dissolved solids, pharmaceuticals, and other pollutants from tap water.
  • Advanced RO Membrane Technology: Utilizes a high-efficiency RO membrane to filter out harmful substances such as viruses and bacteria, ensuring purified water.
  • Compact Under-Sink Design: The main filter body is an integrated device designed to be hidden under your sink, preserving kitchen aesthetics. Only the elegant gooseneck faucet is visible.
  • Quiet Operation: Engineered for minimal noise during operation, ensuring a peaceful kitchen environment.
  • Efficient Water Production: Provides approximately 8 quarts (7.5 liters) of pure water per hour, with continuous operation supported by an automatic control device.
  • Easy Filter Inspection: The transparent housing for the first-stage filter allows for quick visual inspection, simplifying maintenance.

4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your RO system. If you are unsure about any step, it is recommended to consult a qualified plumber.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure you have all components listed in Section 3.
  • Verify that your water pressure is within the recommended range (typically 40-80 PSI).
  • Choose a suitable location under your kitchen sink, ensuring enough space for the filter unit, pressure tank, and access for filter changes.
  • Turn off the main cold water supply to your sink.

4.2 Installation Steps (General Guide)

  1. Mount the Filter Unit: Secure the main filter unit to the cabinet wall under the sink using appropriate screws. Ensure it is level and accessible.
  2. Install the Faucet: Drill a hole (if necessary) in your sink or countertop for the gooseneck faucet. Mount the faucet and connect its tubing to the purified water outlet on the filter unit.
  3. Connect Water Supply: Install the feed water adapter (usually a T-valve) to your cold water line under the sink. Connect the inlet tubing from the filter unit to this adapter.
  4. Install Drain Saddle: Attach the drain saddle valve to the drain pipe under your sink. Connect the drain tubing from the filter unit to this saddle.
  5. Connect Pressure Tank: Place the pressure tank in a convenient location under the sink. Install the tank valve and connect the tubing from the filter unit to the tank valve.
  6. Leak Check: Slowly turn on the main cold water supply. Check all connections for leaks. Tighten any leaking connections.
  7. System Flush: Before first use, the system must be flushed. Open the RO faucet and allow water to run for at least 20-30 minutes, or until the tank is empty. Close the faucet and allow the tank to refill (this may take 1-2 hours). Repeat this flush process 2-3 times to remove any carbon fines and air from the system.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and flushed, your Goplus EP23152 RO system is ready for daily use.

  • Daily Use: To dispense purified water, simply lift the handle of the gooseneck faucet. The system will automatically draw water from the pressure tank. Close the faucet when you have collected the desired amount of water.
  • Automatic Operation: The system features an automatic control device that will refill the pressure tank as water is used, ensuring a continuous supply of purified water.
  • Initial Water Taste: During the first few days of use, you might notice a slightly different taste as the system settles. This is normal and will subside.

Note: Filter life can vary based on local water quality and usage. The transparent first-stage housing allows for visual inspection of the PP filter.

6.2 Filter Replacement Procedure (General)

  1. Turn off the cold water supply to the RO system and close the tank valve.
  2. Open the RO faucet to relieve pressure in the system.
  3. Using the provided filter wrench, unscrew the filter housings.
  4. Remove the old filters and dispose of them properly.
  5. Clean the filter housings with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  6. Insert new filters, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
  7. Screw the filter housings back on, hand-tighten, then use the wrench for a quarter turn more. Do not overtighten.
  8. Slowly open the cold water supply and the tank valve. Check for leaks.
  9. Flush the system as described in Section 4.2 (Step 9) to remove air and carbon fines from new filters.
