Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any shipping damage.
- Assemble Support Legs (if applicable): Some models may require attaching support legs. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Position the Cutter: Place the tile cutter on a stable, flat, and level surface. Ensure there is enough space around the cutter for safe operation and tile handling.
- Check Cutting Wheel: Verify that the alloy cutting wheel is properly installed and free from damage.
- Laser Activation: If your model includes a laser, ensure the batteries are installed (if required) and the laser is functional. The laser helps in precise alignment.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective tile cutting:
- Measure and Mark: Measure the desired cut on your tile. Use a pencil or marker to draw a clear cutting line.
- Position the Tile: Place the tile firmly on the cutter's base, aligning your marked cutting line with the guide rail and the laser line (if using). Use the adjustable rulers for precise positioning.
- Score the Tile:
- Lower the cutting handle so the alloy cutting wheel makes contact with the tile surface at the edge closest to you.
- Apply steady, even pressure to the handle and push the cutting head along the guide rail away from you, scoring the tile in a single, continuous motion.
- Ensure the score line is straight and extends from one edge of the tile to the other. Do not make multiple passes, as this can lead to uneven breaks.
- Break the Tile:
- Once the tile is scored, position the breaking bar (usually part of the cutting head or a separate lever) directly over the score line.
- Apply quick, firm downward pressure to the handle. This will snap the tile cleanly along the scored line.
- For larger tiles, ensure even pressure is applied across the breaking bar.
- Clean Edges: After breaking, carefully inspect the tile edges. Minor rough spots can be smoothed with a tile rubbing stone or sandpaper.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the tile cutter with a damp cloth to remove tile dust and debris. Ensure the guide rail and cutting head are clean.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light coat of machine oil to the guide rail to ensure smooth operation of the cutting head.
- Cutting Wheel Replacement: The alloy cutting wheel is a wear item. Replace it when you notice decreased cutting performance or chipped edges.

- Storage: Store the tile cutter in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Uneven or Chipped Cuts | Dull cutting wheel; Insufficient or uneven pressure; Multiple scoring passes. | Replace cutting wheel; Apply steady, even pressure in a single pass; Ensure tile is firmly seated. |
| Difficulty Scoring Tile | Dull cutting wheel; Incorrect pressure; Tile material too hard for manual cutter. | Replace cutting wheel; Increase pressure slightly; Consider a different cutting method for very hard tiles. |
| Cutting Head Sticking/Rough Movement | Dirty guide rail; Lack of lubrication; Damaged rail. | Clean guide rail thoroughly; Apply lubricant to the rail; Inspect rail for damage. |
| Laser Not Working | Dead batteries; Laser switch off; Damaged laser module. | Replace batteries; Turn on laser switch; Contact customer support if damaged. |
