4.2 Attaching the Powder Hopper
- Ensure the metering cylinder is clean and free of debris.
- Thread the powder hopper onto the top of the powder measure body. Hand-tighten only.
- Insert the appropriate powder drop tube (small for pistol, large for rifle) into the bottom of the measure.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Filling the Hopper
Carefully pour your chosen smokeless powder into the hopper. The hopper has a large capacity, holding up to half a pound of extruded powder or one-third pound of flake powder, suitable for extended reloading sessions.

5.2 Adjusting Powder Charge
The Uniflow Powder Measure III features a precision adjustable metering cylinder. To adjust the powder charge:
- Loosen the lock screw on the metering cylinder.
- Rotate the metering screw to increase or decrease the powder volume. Turn clockwise for less powder, counter-clockwise for more.
- Dispense several charges and weigh them on a sensitive powder scale to verify accuracy.
- Once the desired charge is achieved, tighten the lock screw securely.

5.3 Dispensing Powder
Operate the handle with a smooth, consistent motion. Pull the handle fully down to fill the metering chamber, then push it fully up to dispense the powder into the case. Consistency in motion contributes to charge uniformity.

5.4 Switching Powder Types
The NG-resistant, anti-static threaded hopper design allows for easy transitions between different powder types without needing to empty the entire hopper. Simply remove the hopper, change the powder, and reattach. This design also helps prevent clogging.
