Safety Information
- Power Overload: Do not connect this LED tape light with other tape lights. Connecting multiple strips may lead to power overload and potential malfunction.
- Heat Buildup: Before connecting to power, ensure the entire tape light is unrolled and laid out. Connecting the power while the tape is still rolled on the reel can cause excessive heat buildup and lead to damage or fire.
- Water Protection: The LED tape light itself has a life waterproof rating (IP65) due to gel potting, but it is not suitable for immersion in water. The power adapter is NOT waterproof and must be kept in a dry environment.
- Cutting: Only cut the tape light at the designated cut marks. Cutting at other points will damage the circuit and prevent the cut section from working. Cut sections cannot be reconnected or reused.
- Voltage: Use only with the provided DC12V power adapter. Do not connect to higher voltage power sources.
Setup & Installation
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Dust, oil, or moisture can reduce the adhesive's effectiveness.
- Unroll the Tape Light: Fully unroll both 5-meter reels of the LED tape light before connecting any power.
- Connect the Strips: Connect the two 5-meter LED tape light reels to the Y-splitter cable from the controller box. Ensure the 4-pin connectors are aligned correctly, matching the arrow on the connector to the '+' pole on the LED tape.
- Attach the Tape Light: Peel off the protective backing from the 3M adhesive tape on the back of the LED strip. Carefully press the tape light onto the desired surface.
- Connect the Controller and Power Adapter: Connect the controller box to the DC12V power adapter. Then, plug the power adapter into a standard 100V AC outlet.
- Remote Preparation: Before first use, remove the transparent insulation sheet from the battery compartment of the 44-key remote control.
