Setup Guide

Initial Setup

1. Prepare Routers: Ensure both your main AiMesh router (RT-AX58U) and the AiMesh node (child router) are updated to the latest firmware. Place them near each other during the initial setup.
2. Reset AiMesh Node: Perform a factory reset on the AiMesh node (child router). This typically involves pressing and holding the reset button for about 5-10 seconds until the LED lights flash. The node should only be connected to power during this step.

6. Optimal Placement: After successful setup, strategically place your AiMesh node to maximize Wi-Fi coverage. For multi-story homes, place nodes on different levels. For single-level homes, place the node in the middle of existing dead zones to ensure a "Great" connection quality between the main router and the node. ASUS recommends a maximum of 5 Wi-Fi AiMesh nodes, including the main router.
