Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating any watercraft and associated equipment. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Ensure the motor is securely mounted to the transom before connecting to a power source.
  • Always disconnect the motor from the battery when not in use, during charging, or before performing any maintenance.
  • Keep hands, feet, and clothing clear of the propeller at all times, especially when the motor is connected to a power source.
  • Do not operate the motor in areas where people are swimming.
  • Use only a 12V deep cycle marine battery (not included) with this trolling motor.
  • Regularly inspect all electrical connections for corrosion or damage.

Setup and Installation

1. Mounting the Motor

The PEXMOR ETM82 is designed for transom mounting. Ensure your boat's transom is suitable for clamping the motor securely.

  • Position the motor on the transom, ensuring the propeller is clear of any obstructions.
  • Tighten the transom clamp screws firmly to secure the motor. Do not overtighten.
  • Adjust the mounting angle using the 90-degree adjustment feature to ensure the motor shaft is vertical in the water.

  • Connect the black negative (-) cable from the motor to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
  • Ensure connections are tight and secure to prevent power loss or arcing.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Depth and Angle

The motor's shaft depth and angle can be adjusted to suit various water conditions and boat types.

  • To adjust depth, loosen the knob on the shaft and slide the motor up or down. Retighten the knob once the desired depth is reached.
  • To adjust the angle, press the button near the mounting bracket and tilt the motor to the desired position. Release the button to lock the angle.

2. Speed Control and Handle Adjustment

The motor features a telescoping handle with multiple speed settings.

  • The handle extends up to 6 inches for comfortable operation. Pull or push the handle to adjust its length.
  • Rotate the handle grip to select one of the 5 forward speeds or 3 reverse speeds. Start with lower speeds and gradually increase as needed.

  • Battery Care: Ensure your 12V deep cycle marine battery is properly charged and maintained according to the battery manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect the motor from the battery during storage.
  • Electrical Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical connections for corrosion. Clean terminals with a wire brush if necessary and apply dielectric grease to prevent future corrosion.
