1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your AWOW WiFi Smart Security System Kits, Model Smart-7. This system is designed to enhance the security of your home or business by detecting unauthorized entry and motion, alerting you via a mobile application, and sounding a local alarm. It is compatible with Alexa for convenient voice control.

3. Setup

3.1 App Installation

  1. Scan the QR code provided on the product packaging or in the quick start guide to download the "Smart Life" app. Alternatively, search for "Smart Life" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Install the app on your smartphone.
  3. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

3.2 Hub Setup

  1. Plug the Smart Alarm Hub into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure it is within range of your 2.4G WiFi network. The hub only supports 2.4G WiFi.
  2. Open the "Smart Life" app and tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the hub to your 2.4G WiFi network. This typically involves putting the hub into pairing mode (indicated by a flashing light) and entering your WiFi credentials.

3.3 Sensor Pairing (PIR Motion Sensor & Door/Window Sensors)

Before placing sensors, activate them and ensure they connect to the smart alarm hub. This allows for verification of connectivity.

  1. In the "Smart Life" app, navigate to the alarm system settings and select "Add Accessory" or "Add Sensor."
  2. Follow the app's prompts to put the hub into sensor pairing mode.
  3. For the PIR Motion Sensor: Activate the sensor by pressing its test button or removing its battery tab. The hub should confirm pairing.
  4. For Door/Window Sensors: Separate the two parts of the sensor (magnet and main unit) to trigger it. The hub should confirm pairing. Repeat for all door/window sensors.
  5. Once paired, you can name each sensor within the app for easy identification (e.g., "Front Door," "Living Room PIR").

3.4 Remote Control Pairing

  1. In the "Smart Life" app, go to the alarm system settings and select "Add Remote Control."
  2. Follow the app's instructions to put the hub into remote pairing mode.
  3. Press any button on the remote control. The hub should confirm successful pairing.
