The Dorcy Adventure Max Lantern requires four (4) D-cell batteries (included). For optimal performance and to prevent potential damage from battery leakage, it is recommended to replace batteries as suggested by the manufacturer or when the light output diminishes.

  1. Locate the Battery Compartment: The battery compartment is located at the base of the lantern.
  2. Open the Compartment: Twist the base counter-clockwise to unlock and remove the battery cover. It may require firm but gentle force to open, especially on first use.
  3. Insert Batteries: Insert four D-cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Incorrect installation can prevent the lantern from functioning.
  4. Close the Compartment: Align the battery cover with the base and twist clockwise until it is securely locked. Ensure a tight seal to protect against dust and moisture.
