The ORNIN D1005 is designed for both home and office environments, offering clear communication and convenient features. Its rubber oil injection finish provides a soft touch and comfortable grip.

3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ORNIN D1005 Cordless Phone:
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
- Insert the two AA batteries (included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

3.2. Connecting the Base Unit
- Connect to Power Supply: Plug the small end of the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the telephone base. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Connect the RJ11 Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the telephone base. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
Note: The ORNIN cordless phone will not function when the power is off.
3.3. Initial Charging
Place the handset on the telephone base. The handset will begin charging. For optimal battery performance, allow the handset to charge for at least 12-16 hours before its first use, even if the battery indicator shows a full charge.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Making and Receiving Calls
- Making a Call:
- Press the Call button (green phone icon).
- Dial the desired phone number.
- To end the call, press the End Call button (red phone icon).
- Predial and Edit: You can dial a number first, then press the Call button to initiate the call. If you make a mistake, use the Delete button to correct digits before calling.
- Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, press the Call button to answer.
- Redial: To redial the last number called, press the Redial button. The phone stores the last 10 calls made.
4.2. Volume Adjustment
During a call, press the Vol. ▲ button to increase the earpiece or speaker volume, or the Vol. ▼ button to decrease it.
4.3. Speakerphone Function
To activate the speakerphone during a call, press the Speakerphone button (speaker icon). Press it again to switch back to the earpiece.

4.4. Caller ID Display
The 1.6-inch LCD display shows incoming caller information (if subscribed to Caller ID service from your telephone provider). The phone stores up to 30 Caller ID memories.

4.5. Mute Function
During a call, press the Mute button (microphone with a slash through it) to temporarily mute your microphone. The other party will not hear you. Press it again to unmute.
4.6. Quiet Mode
The phone features a Quiet Mode to silence the ringer. Refer to the on-screen menu for activation and deactivation of this feature.
4.7. Phonebook
The phonebook allows you to store frequently called numbers. The D1005 can store up to 50 phone book memories. Consult the on-screen menu for instructions on adding, editing, and deleting contacts.
4.8. Call Waiting and Call Forwarding
The phone supports Call Waiting and Call Forwarding to internal systems. Availability and activation of these features depend on your telephone service provider.
4.9. Operating Range
The ORNIN D1005 offers a talking range of up to 50 meters (approximately 164 feet) away from the DECT base unit, depending on environmental conditions and obstacles.

5. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your ORNIN D1005 Cordless Phone.
5.1. Cleaning
- Wipe the phone and base unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

5.2. Battery Care
- Always use the specified AA batteries.
