4.1 Powering the Unit

The AKAI R190BT can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

4.2 Antenna

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal DAB radio reception.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button (usually integrated with the volume knob or a separate button) to turn the radio on or off.

5.2 Volume Control

Rotate the Volume knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

5.3 DAB Radio Mode

  1. Press the Mode button (if available, or cycle through modes using a dedicated button) to select DAB mode.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB stations upon first use or if a scan is initiated.
  3. Use the Select or navigation buttons to browse through the list of available stations.
  4. Press Select to confirm your station choice.
  5. To perform a full scan, navigate to the "Full Scan" option in the menu (accessed via Info/Menu button).

5.4 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Press the Mode button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "Bluetooth" or a similar indicator, and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "AKAI R190BT" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the radio will confirm the connection, and you can start streaming audio from your device.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Press the Mode button to select USB or SD mode. The radio will automatically detect and begin playing compatible MP3 files.
