4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Receiver Setup

  1. Connect Antennas: Screw the two antennas onto the corresponding connectors on the rear of the PR-8 receiver. Position them vertically for optimal reception.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC9V input on the receiver and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Audio Output: Connect the 6.35mm audio cable from the receiver's audio output jack to your mixer, amplifier, or PA system input.
  4. Power On: Press the power button on the receiver. The LCD display should illuminate.

4.2 Transmitter and Microphone Setup

  1. Insert Battery: Open the battery compartment on the BT-10T transmitter and insert one 1.5V AA battery, observing correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
  2. Attach Microphone: Ensure the condenser microphone is securely connected to the transmitter unit.
  3. Mount on Instrument: Carefully attach the transmitter and microphone assembly to your double bass. The patented design with a rubber cover helps protect the instrument. Position the microphone for optimal sound capture, typically near the bridge or f-hole, depending on desired tone.

  1. Select Channel: On the PR-8 receiver, use the control buttons to select your desired channel/frequency. The LCD will display the chosen frequency.
  2. Activate IR Sync: Position the IR window of the BT-10T transmitter close to the IR sensor on the PR-8 receiver (usually marked 'IR').
  3. Initiate Sync: Follow the receiver's instructions (e.g., press a 'Sync' button) to initiate the IR synchronization. The transmitter's frequency will automatically be downloaded from the receiver.
  4. Verify Connection: Once synchronized, the receiver's display should show a stable RF signal, and the transmitter's indicator should confirm connection.
