Maintenance

General Care

Keep the stapler clean and free from dust and debris. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth as needed. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Clearing Jams

In the event of a staple jam, first ensure the stapler is not loaded with paper. Carefully open the staple channel by pressing the quickload button. Remove any bent or misfired staples from the channel and the stapling mechanism. Close the staple channel securely before attempting to staple again.

Troubleshooting

  • Staples not penetrating paper: Ensure you are using the correct staple size (26/6 or 1/4 inch) and that the paper stack does not exceed the 25-sheet capacity. Apply firm, even pressure when stapling.
  • Staples bending or misfiring: Check for staple jams as described in the Maintenance section. Ensure staples are loaded correctly and are not damaged.
  • Stapler feels stiff or difficult to operate: Verify that the staple channel is fully closed and that no foreign objects are obstructing the mechanism.
