3. Setup
3.1 Connecting the Telephone
- Connect one end of the handset cord to the handset and the other end to the port labeled "HANDSET" on the side of the telephone base.
- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the port labeled "LINE" on the back of the telephone base.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your wall telephone jack.
- The telephone does not require an AC power adapter to function, making it operational even during power outages.
3.2 Presetting Emergency/Speed Dial Numbers (M1, M2, SOS)
The S018 features three dedicated quick dial buttons (M1, M2, and SOS) for frequently called or emergency contacts. These buttons must be programmed before use.
- Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button to activate the phone.
- Press the STORE button.
- Dial the phone number you wish to save (up to 16 digits).
- Press the STORE button again.
- Press the desired quick dial button (M1, M2, or SOS) to save the number. You will hear a confirmation tone.
- To use a preset number, simply lift the handset or press SPEAKER, then press the corresponding quick dial button (M1, M2, or SOS). The phone will automatically dial the stored number.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Making a Call
- Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button.
- Dial the desired phone number using the large numeric keypad. The Braille markings on the keys assist with tactile identification.
- Wait for the call to connect.
- To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKER button again.
4.2 Receiving a Call
- When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button to answer.
- To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKER button again.
4.3 Using the Speakerphone
The built-in speakerphone allows for hands-free conversations.
- To activate during a call, press the SPEAKER button. You can then place the handset back on the cradle.
- To switch back to the handset, simply lift the handset.

- Locate the Ringer Volume switch on the side or back of the phone.
