Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement:
    • Place the air conditioner on a firm, level surface in a room that requires cooling, dehumidifying, or ventilation.
    • Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
    • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  3. Exhaust Hose Installation:
    • Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the hose connector for the AC unit.
    • Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window kit hose connector.
    • Insert the hose connector into the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner.
    • Extend the exhaust hose to a window or other suitable opening to vent hot air outside. Ensure the hose is as straight and short as possible to maximize efficiency.
  4. Drainage Setup (for Dehumidifier Mode):
    • For continuous drainage in dehumidifier mode, connect a drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port at the back of the unit.
    • Position the other end of the drainage hose into a suitable container or floor drain, ensuring it is lower than the unit's drainage port for gravity flow.
    • Alternatively, the internal water tank will collect condensate, and the unit will stop operating when full, requiring manual emptying.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (220-240V / 50Hz).

Operating Instructions

The unit can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel Overview:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through Cooling, Fan, and Dehumidifier modes.
  • Temperature Up/Down Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature in Cooling mode.
  • Fan Speed Button: Selects fan speed (Low, Medium, High).
  • Timer Button: Sets the auto ON/OFF timer.
  • Display Screen: Shows current temperature, timer settings, and mode indicators.

Remote Control Functions:

The remote control provides convenient operation from a distance. Ensure batteries are inserted correctly.

  • All functions available on the control panel are also accessible via the remote control.
  • Point the remote control directly at the receiver on the unit.

Operating Modes:

Press the Mode button to select the desired operation:

  • Cooling Mode:
    • Press the Mode button until the "Cool" indicator lights up.
    • Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set your desired room temperature. The recommended temperature range is typically 16°C to 30°C (61°F to 86°F).
    • Adjust the fan speed as desired.
  • Fan Mode:
    • Press the Mode button until the "Fan" indicator lights up.
    • The unit will circulate air without cooling.
    • Adjust the fan speed (Low, Medium, High) using the Fan Speed button.
  • Dehumidifier Mode:
    • Press the Mode button until the "Dehumidify" indicator lights up.
    • The unit will remove moisture from the air. The fan speed is typically fixed in this mode.
    • Ensure proper drainage setup as described in the Setup section.

Timer Function:

The timer allows you to set the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF after a specified period.

  • To set Auto-OFF Timer: While the unit is ON, press the Timer button. Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set the desired hours (1-24h) after which the unit will turn off.
  • To set Auto-ON Timer: While the unit is OFF, press the Timer button. Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set the desired hours (1-24h) after which the unit will turn on.
  • To cancel the timer, press the Timer button again or turn the unit OFF.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

  • Before any maintenance, always unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  • Cleaning the Air Filter:
    • The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
    • Locate the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
    • Remove the filter and clean it with a vacuum cleaner or wash it gently with warm water and mild detergent.
    • Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not operate the unit without the filter.
  • Draining Water:
    • If not using continuous drainage, the internal water tank will fill up. The unit will stop operating and display an indicator when the tank is full.
    • Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage port.
    • Remove the drain plug and allow all water to drain out.
    • Replace the drain plug firmly.
  • Cleaning the Unit Exterior:
    • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
  • Storage:
    • Before storing, ensure the unit is completely drained of water.
    • Clean the air filter.
    • Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
    • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
