Mounting the Sight

The Sightmark Volta is designed for Picatinny mounting. Choose between the included low mount or the absolute cowitness mount based on your preference and firearm setup. Ensure the mount is securely fastened to your firearm's Picatinny rail using a standard screwdriver or a small coin. A dime works well for installation and removal. Ensure a snug fit to prevent any wobble that could affect accuracy.

Battery Installation

The Sightmark Volta uses standard AAA batteries. To install, locate the battery compartment. While the instructions typically indicate polarity markings, some units may not have them clearly visible. If markings are absent, try installing the batteries in different orientations until the sight powers on. The battery door is a twist-lock design; ensure it is securely closed to prevent batteries from dislodging during use. A standard screwdriver is required to open and close the battery door.

Operating Instructions

Power System

The Sightmark Volta features a versatile dual power system, allowing it to operate on either battery power or solar power. The solar panel on top of the sight can power the red dot in sufficient ambient light, even without batteries installed. This ensures continuous functionality and extends battery life significantly, up to 400,000 hours on low brightness settings.

Reticle and Brightness Adjustment

The Volta utilizes a 2 MOA red dot reticle. The innovative Eclipse Light Management System automatically adjusts the reticle's brightness based on the surrounding environment, optimizing visibility in various lighting conditions without manual intervention.

Windage and Elevation Adjustments

To adjust the point of impact, use a standard screwdriver to turn the windage and elevation adjustment knobs. These knobs are typically located on the side and top of the sight. Make small, incremental adjustments and re-test your zero as needed. Note that these adjustments require a tool and cannot be made with a coin.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, keep the lenses and body of your Sightmark Volta clean. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the exterior. For lenses, use a lens cleaning pen or a soft brush to remove dust, followed by a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive materials, as they can damage the precision-coated optics. Always use the included rubber lens cover when the sight is not in use to protect the lenses.

Durability and Protection

The Sightmark Volta is built with full metal construction for robust durability. It is rated IP67 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged in 1 meter (3 feet) of water for up to 1 hour. The sight is also shockproof, designed to withstand recoil and impacts from normal use. While durable, always handle your optic with care to prevent unnecessary damage.
