4. Setup

Battery Installation

5. Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

  • To power on, simply press the measurement trigger. The device will perform a self-test and display the last reading.
  • The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Selecting Measurement Mode (Body/Surface)

The MS6592P features two distinct measurement modes:

  • Body Mode: For measuring human body temperature (range: 32°C to 42°C).
  • Surface Mode: For measuring the temperature of objects and surfaces (range: 0°C to 100°C).

To switch between modes, press the 'M' button located below the display. The current mode will be indicated on the screen.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the correct measurement mode (Body or Surface) is selected.
  2. Point the thermometer's infrared sensor towards the target. For body temperature, aim at the forehead. For surfaces, aim at the desired object.
  3. Maintain a measurement distance of 5 to 15 cm from the target.
  4. Press and hold the measurement trigger. The device will scan and display the temperature reading within 1 second.
  5. Release the trigger to hold the reading on the display.

Changing Temperature Units (°C/°F)
