Introduction
The WilTec CFF-206 Solar Automatic Fish Feeder is designed to provide consistent and reliable feeding for your pond fish, whether you are at home or away. This device ensures your fish receive their daily rations regularly, allowing you to customize feeding intervals and durations to meet their specific needs. It features a large 6-liter capacity food tank and can dispense food pellets between 3 and 10 mm in size. The feeder distributes food over a 120° horizontal angle, with adjustable ranges from 1 to 3 meters. Powered primarily by solar energy with an integrated lithium battery, it can operate for up to three months without direct sunlight after a full charge. An optional 12V / 1.66A DC 5.5x21 power adapter can also be used for continuous power (not included).

- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Only use food pellets within the recommended size range (3-10 mm) to prevent blockages.
- If using an external power adapter, ensure it meets the specified requirements (12V / 1.66A / DC 5.5x21 connector) and is suitable for outdoor use.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Contact qualified personnel for service.
- Regularly check the food container for moisture or mold, especially in humid environments.

Setup
1. Placement:
Choose a location near your pond or water feature that receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day for optimal solar charging. Ensure the feeder is positioned so that the dispensed food will land in the water and be accessible to your fish. Use the included ground stakes (if applicable) to secure the feeder firmly in place, preventing it from being knocked over by wind or animals.
2. Powering the Device:
- Solar Power: The feeder is equipped with an integrated lithium battery that charges via the solar panel on top. For initial use, allow the feeder to charge in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours before programming. A fully charged battery can power the feeder for up to three months without further sunlight exposure.
- Optional AC Adapter: For continuous power or in areas with insufficient sunlight, the feeder can be powered by an external 12V / 1.66A DC 5.5x21 power adapter (not included). Connect the adapter to the designated port on the feeder.
3. Filling the Food Tank:
Open the transparent cover and the bucket cover. Fill the feeding bucket (5) with dry fish food pellets. The feeder has a capacity of 6 liters and is suitable for food sizes between 3 mm and 10 mm. Close both covers securely after filling to protect the food from moisture and pests.
Operating Instructions
The control panel allows you to program feeding times and durations. Refer to the display and buttons for navigation.
1. Setting Current Time:
Consult the manual's specific instructions for setting the current time on the feeder's display. This is usually done by pressing a "SET" or "TIME" button and using arrow keys to adjust hours and minutes.
2. Programming Feeding Schedules:
- The feeder allows programming of 1 to 6 meals per day.
- For each meal, you can set a specific time.
- The feeding duration can be adjusted up to a maximum of 20 seconds. A longer duration dispenses more food.
- Access the programming mode (e.g., by pressing "SET" multiple times) and use the arrow keys to set the desired feeding times and durations for each meal slot.
3. Adjusting Feeding Range:
The feeder distributes food over a 120° horizontal angle. You can adjust the intensity/range of food distribution based on your pond size:
- Small Range: Approximately 1 meter.
- Medium Range: Approximately 2 meters.
- Large Range: Approximately 3 meters.
- Consult the control panel's specific settings for adjusting the feeding range/intensity. This might involve a dedicated button or a setting within the programming menu.
4. Manual Feeding:
A manual feed button is typically available for immediate dispensing of food outside of programmed schedules. Press this button once for a single manual feeding cycle.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Food Tank: Regularly inspect the food tank for moisture, condensation, or mold growth. Empty any remaining food and clean the tank with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before refilling.
- Impeller and Chute: Check the impeller and food dispensing chute for any blockages or residue. Clean as needed to ensure smooth operation.
- Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel clean and free of dust, dirt, or debris to ensure efficient charging. Wipe it gently with a soft, damp cloth.
- Desiccant: If your unit includes a desiccant pack (component 4), replace it periodically according to its instructions to maintain a dry environment inside the food tank.
- Winter Storage: During winter months or prolonged periods of non-use, empty the food tank, clean the unit thoroughly, and store it in a dry, protected area.
Troubleshooting
- Feeder not dispensing food:
- Check if the food tank is empty.
- Ensure food pellets are within the 3-10 mm size range. Larger or smaller pellets, or sticky food, can cause blockages.
- Verify that the impeller and chute are clear of obstructions.
- Check battery charge level. If low, allow more time for solar charging or use the AC adapter.
- Confirm that feeding times are correctly programmed.
- Battery not charging:
- Ensure the solar panel is clean and exposed to direct sunlight.
- Check for any physical damage to the solar panel or wiring.
- Food getting wet/moldy:
- Ensure the transparent cover and bucket cover are securely closed.
- Replace the desiccant pack if present and saturated.
- Consider relocating the feeder to a drier spot or providing additional shelter from rain.
- Excessive food dispensed:
- Adjust the feeding duration setting to a shorter time.
- Ensure the food type is appropriate for the feeder and fish size.
