4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Print Head

To maintain optimal print quality, periodically clean the print head. Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the print head surface. Ensure the printer is off and completely dry before use.

4.2 Paper Storage

Store thermal paper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent premature fading or damage to the thermal coating.

4.3 Battery Care

For long-term battery health, avoid completely discharging the battery frequently. If storing the printer for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% every three months.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Printer not connecting via Bluetooth: Ensure the printer is powered on and within range. Restart both the printer and your mobile device. Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device and try reconnecting through the Phomemo App.
  • Poor print quality: Check if the thermal paper is loaded correctly with the printing side facing the print head. Clean the print head as described in Section 4.1. Ensure the paper is not old or damaged.
  • Paper jam: Turn off the printer. Carefully open the paper compartment and remove any jammed paper. Ensure no small debris is obstructing the paper path. Reload the paper correctly.
  • Printer not turning on: Ensure the printer is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and wait a few minutes before attempting to turn it on again.
  • App issues: Ensure the Phomemo App is updated to the latest version. Try restarting the app or reinstalling it if problems persist.
