1. Introduction

2. Product Overview

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Controller

The remote controller is equipped with a Lithium-Ion Polymer battery (2600mAh, 3.6V). Before first use, fully charge the controller.

  • Connect a USB charging cable (not included) to the controller's charging port.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V-2A USB power adapter (not included).
  • The charging indicator lights will show the charging status. Disconnect once fully charged.

3.2 Attaching Control Sticks

The control sticks are detachable for easier storage. To attach them:

  • Locate the threaded ports on the top of the controller.
  • Gently screw the control sticks clockwise into the ports until secure. Do not overtighten.

3.3 Connecting to a Mobile Device

An RC cable (USB-C, Lightning, or Micro-USB, depending on your mobile device) is required to connect your smartphone to the remote controller. This cable is not included.

  • Extend the mobile device holder on the top of the controller.
  • Place your mobile device securely into the holder.
  • Connect the appropriate RC cable from your mobile device to the controller's port.

3.4 Pairing with DJI Mavic Mini

To establish communication between the controller and your drone:

  • Ensure both the remote controller and the DJI Mavic Mini drone are powered off.
  • Power on the drone first, then power on the remote controller.
  • Open the DJI Fly app on your connected mobile device.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions within the DJI Fly app to initiate the pairing process. This typically involves pressing a pairing button on both the drone and the controller.
  • Once successfully paired, the controller's status indicator will change, and the app will confirm the connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds until the power indicators light up.
  • To Power Off: Press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds until the power indicators turn off.

4.2 Basic Flight Controls

The remote controller uses a standard control scheme. Refer to the DJI Fly app for customizable control settings.

  • Left Joystick: Controls altitude (up/down) and yaw (rotate left/right).
  • Right Joystick: Controls forward/backward and left/right movement.
  • Dedicated Buttons: Buttons on the controller are typically assigned for functions such as taking photos, recording video, and initiating Return-to-Home (RTH). Consult the DJI Fly app for specific button functions and configurations.

5.1 Cleaning

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Controller Not Powering On

  • Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the controller to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Verify the charging cable and power adapter are functioning correctly.
