1. Introduction and Overview

The Wellue Bluetooth Pulse Oximeter Fingertip is designed to accurately measure your SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) and Pulse Rate. This device automatically powers on and off for ease of use. It is intended for sports and aviation use only and is not a medical device. It should not be used for any medical purpose or to diagnose any medical condition.

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup: Battery Installation

Before first use, install the included AAA batteries:

  1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the oximeter.
  2. Slide the battery cover open.
  3. Insert the 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - ends match the diagram inside the compartment).
  4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

4. Operating Instructions

To take a measurement:

  1. Open the clip of the oximeter.
  2. Insert one finger (preferably the index finger) into the rubber cushion of the clip, ensuring the finger is in the correct position.
  3. Release the clip. The monitor will automatically turn on and begin measuring.
  4. Keep your hand still during the measurement process.
  5. After approximately 8 seconds, your SpO2 and Pulse Rate readings will be displayed on the OLED screen.
  6. Remove your finger from the device to automatically power it off.

Display Information

The OLED screen displays the following key metrics:

  • %SpO2: Blood Oxygen Saturation level.
  • PR: Pulse Rate (beats per minute).
  • PI: Perfusion Index (indicates the strength of the pulse signal).
  • Pulse Bar Graph: Visual representation of pulse strength.
  • Pulse Rate Wave: Real-time waveform of your pulse.

5. Smart Features: App Usage and Data Storage

The Wellue Pulse Oximeter can connect to a free mobile application for Android and iOS devices, allowing for real-time data reception and storage. Data is synchronized and stored only when the app is open and running.

  • Real-time Data: View your SpO2 and Pulse Rate readings instantly on your smartphone.
  • Data Storage: The app stores historical data, allowing you to review trends and detailed reports at any time.
  • Built-in Memory: The device itself can store up to 12 groups of SpO2 and Pulse Rate data on its display screen for quick review of recent measurements.

Smart Reminders

The oximeter features a smart reminder function. If your O2 level or pulse rate exceeds a preset limit, the device will emit a beep to alert you, and the readings will flash on the screen. These limits can be adjusted through the device's settings menu.

6. Maintenance and Care

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your Wellue Pulse Oximeter, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the screen. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • Usage Duration: It is recommended that the oximeter not be applied to the same location for longer than 2 hours. If any abnormal condition is found, change the position of the oximeter.
  • Storage: Store the device in the provided carry pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
