1. Introduction

The Skytech Smart Stat IV remote control system provides wireless thermostatic and timer control for gas heating fireplaces. This system includes a remote control transmitter and a 110V AC receiver. It is designed for use with standard millivolt valves and electronic spark ignitions, offering convenient operation of your fireplace.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

  • Smart Stat IV Transmitter Remote Control
  • Receiver Box (UL Listed 110V)
  • Wall Clip for Transmitter
  • Wires with Connectors (18 inch)
  • AAA Batteries (2)

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Receiver Installation

The receiver connects to the fireplace's control system. It features a slide switch with three positions: ON, REMOTE, and OFF. The ON position manually activates the fireplace, OFF deactivates it, and REMOTE allows control via the transmitter.

3.2 Wiring for Millivolt Valves

For fireplaces with millivolt gas valves, connect the receiver using the provided wires to the TH (Thermostat) and TP (Thermopile) terminals on the gas valve. Ensure the pilot light is lit before operation.
