Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating the generator. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Keep children and pets away from the generator during operation.
- Do not operate the generator in rain or wet conditions.
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface before starting.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool before refueling.
- Store fuel in an approved container in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
- Always disconnect electrical loads before starting or stopping the generator.
Setup
Before initial use, ensure the generator is properly prepared.
1. Add Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. It is crucial to add the correct type and amount of oil before starting.
- Unscrew and remove the oil dipstick.
- Using a funnel, add approximately 600ml of SAE 10W-30 motor oil.
- Check the oil level with the dipstick; ensure it does not exceed the 'H' (High) mark.
- Securely tighten the oil dipstick.
Video 1: Demonstrates adding engine oil to a similar generator model. Note that the specific model in the video may differ from the IT-GG3000F, but the oil filling procedure is generally the same. Ensure to use the recommended oil type and quantity for your IT-GG3000F.
2. Add Fuel
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline (E10 compatible) for optimal performance.
- Unscrew the fuel tank cap.
- Carefully pour gasoline into the tank, ensuring not to overfill. The fuel tank capacity is 15 liters.
- Check the fuel indicator to confirm the level. 'F' indicates full, 'E' indicates empty.
- Securely tighten the fuel tank cap.
Video 2: Illustrates the process of adding fuel to a similar generator model. Always use the recommended fuel type and avoid overfilling the tank for your IT-GG3000F.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to start and operate your generator.
Starting the Generator
- Ensure the generator is on a firm, level surface.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "OFF" position (or "START" if indicated).
- Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Pull the recoil starter rope swiftly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "ON" position.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical loads.
Video 3: Shows the starting procedure for a similar generator model. The steps for starting the IT-GG3000F are comparable. Always ensure safety precautions are followed.
Connecting Electrical Loads
- Plug your electrical devices into the appropriate AC 230V outlets.
- Monitor the V.F.R.T meter for voltage, frequency, and runtime information.
- Do not overload the generator beyond its rated capacity.
Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your generator.
1. Spark Plug Replacement
Inspect and replace the spark plug as needed to ensure efficient ignition.
- Remove the spark plug cap.
- Use a spark plug wrench to turn the spark plug counter-clockwise and remove it.
- Install the new spark plug by turning it clockwise until finger-tight, then use the wrench to tighten it further.
- Reattach the spark plug cap.
2. Air Filter Cleaning
A clean air filter is essential for proper engine function.
- Unscrew the air filter cover.
- Remove the foam air filter element.
- Clean the filter with detergent and warm water, then allow it to air dry completely.
- Apply a few drops of engine oil to the clean filter, then squeeze out any excess.
- Reinstall the air filter element and secure the cover.
3. Oil Change
Change the engine oil regularly according to the maintenance schedule in your full manual.
- Place a suitable container under the oil drain plug.
- Unscrew the oil dipstick and the oil drain plug to allow the old oil to drain completely.
- Once drained, replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
- Add new SAE 10W-30 motor oil as described in the "Add Engine Oil" section.
4. Draining Residual Fuel
For long-term storage, it is necessary to drain residual fuel from the carburetor.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Place a container under the carburetor drain screw.
- Loosen the drain screw on the carburetor to allow fuel to drain.
- Once drained, tighten the drain screw and turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
