3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly set up your Outsunny Double-Sided Patio Umbrella.
- Choose a Location: Select a flat, stable surface for the umbrella. Ensure there is adequate clearance for the umbrella to open fully without obstruction.
- Install the Base: Place a suitable, heavy umbrella base (not included) in the desired location. The base must be heavy enough to support the large umbrella, especially in windy conditions.
- Insert the Main Pole: Carefully insert the main pole of the umbrella into the opening of the umbrella base. Tighten any securing screws or knobs on the base to hold the pole firmly in place.
- Unfurl the Canopy: Gently untie the securing strap around the closed canopy.
- Open the Umbrella: Locate the crank handle on the main pole. Turn the crank handle clockwise to slowly open the umbrella canopy. Continue cranking until the canopy is fully extended and taut. Do not over-crank.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life of your umbrella.
- Cleaning the Canopy: Wipe the canopy with a dry cloth to remove dust and light debris. For heavier dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with water. Allow the canopy to dry completely before closing or storing.
- Frame Care: Regularly inspect the metal frame for any signs of rust or damage. Clean the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a silicone-based lubricant to the crank mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods or during inclement weather, close the umbrella and secure it with the strap. Consider using a protective cover (not included) to shield it from the elements. Store in a dry, sheltered area.
