Setup
1. PC Connection (USB)
For full functionality, including JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 and JBL QuantumENGINE software customization, connect the headset to your PC using the provided Type-C to A cable with the Game Chat Balance Dial.
- Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the headset.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your PC.
- Install the JBL QuantumENGINE software from the official JBL website for advanced settings and calibration.
- Attach the detachable boom microphone to the headset.
2. Console/Mobile Connection (3.5mm)
The headset is compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac, and VR devices via the 3.5mm audio cable. Note that features powered by JBL QuantumENGINE (JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, RGB, EQ, Microphone settings) are only available on PC.
- Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to the headset's 3.5mm audio jack.
- Connect the other end of the 3.5mm cable to your console controller, mobile device, or other compatible audio source.
- Attach the detachable boom microphone if voice communication is required.
3. Microphone Setup
The detachable boom microphone provides clear voice pickup. For optimal performance, ensure the windshield foam is placed over the microphone.
- Insert the boom microphone into the dedicated port on the left earcup until it clicks into place.
- Position the microphone approximately 1-2 inches from your mouth.
- Use the microphone mute button on the headset or the JBL QuantumENGINE software to control microphone activity.
4. Calibration (PC Only)
For precise audio positioning with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, perform a calibration using the included calibration microphone and JBL QuantumENGINE software.
- Connect the calibration microphone to the headset.
- Open the JBL QuantumENGINE software on your PC.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the software to complete the audio calibration process. This customizes the spatial audio to your specific head and ear shape.

Audio Controls
- Volume Dial: Rotate the dial on the left earcup to increase or decrease the overall audio volume.
- Game Chat Balance Dial: On the USB cable, rotate the dial to prioritize game audio or chat audio. Turning towards 'Game' increases game volume and decreases chat volume, and vice-versa.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC)
