5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TL-MR100 router, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Internet Access:
- Check if the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a data plan.
- Verify the 4G/LTE LED indicator on the router. If it's not solid green, there might be an issue with the SIM card or network coverage.
- Try moving the router to a location with better 4G signal strength.
- Ensure your device is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and has the correct password.
- If using Wi-Fi Router Mode, ensure the Ethernet cable from your modem is securely connected to the LAN/WAN port and the modem is working correctly.
- Slow Internet Speed:
- Check your 4G signal strength. Weak signal can lead to slow speeds.
- Reduce the number of connected devices or bandwidth-intensive activities.
- Ensure the router is placed optimally, away from interference.
- Perform a speed test to confirm the actual speed you are receiving.
- Wi-Fi Disconnections:
- Ensure the router's firmware is up to date.
- Change the Wi-Fi channel in the router's settings to avoid interference from neighboring networks.
- Check for physical obstructions or interference sources near the router.
- Cannot Access Router's Web Management Page:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's network (wired or wireless).
- Verify you are entering the correct default IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in your web browser.
- Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
- Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer.
- Factory Reset: If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset. With the router powered on, press and hold the WPS/RESET button on the back panel for about 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. This will restore the router to its default factory settings, including Wi-Fi SSID and password.
