2. Setup
2.1 Mounting the Riflescope
The KAHLES K18i is designed for a standard scope mount. Ensure the mount is securely attached to your firearm according to the mount manufacturer's instructions. Proper mounting is crucial for accuracy and stability.
2.2 Adjusting the Fast Focus Eyepiece
Located at the rear of the riflescope, the fast focus eyepiece allows for sharp reticle focus. Rotate the eyepiece until the reticle appears crisp and clear to your eye. Once set, the eyepiece has sufficient resistance to maintain its position.
2.3 Adjusting the Zoom Ring
The zoom or power ring is located forward of the eyepiece. It offers a smooth adjustment from 1x to 8x magnification. To increase magnification, rotate the ring counter-clockwise. The ring provides good resistance, ensuring your desired magnification setting remains stable during use.

3. Operating
3.1 Illumination Dial
The illumination dial is positioned on the left side of the riflescope. It features a '0' position for off, and numerical values up to '9' for lower illumination settings. Beyond '9', there is a higher illumination range designed for bright daylight conditions. The dial has definitive stopping points at '0' and just past '9' (for the highest setting), but no other locking points in between. Despite this, the dial offers good resistance, ensuring the chosen illumination level remains consistent.
3.2 Turrets (Elevation and Windage)
The elevation and windage turrets are designed for precise adjustments. Each click provides 0.36 inches of adjustment at 100 yards (or 1cm at 100m). The adjustments are positive and tactile, providing clear feedback. To zero out the turrets, simply loosen the screw on top of the turret and align the '0' with the triangle indicator on the scope body. The windage turret does not have numerical values, only short and long hash marks for reference.

3.3 Reticle
The K18i features a 3GR - IPSC reticle, optimized for fast target acquisition and engagement in dynamic shooting scenarios. The illuminated dot provides enhanced visibility in various lighting conditions.

4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KAHLES K18i riflescope, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a specialized lens cleaning solution. Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust and smudges. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning Body: Wipe the riflescope body with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn grime, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a clean, damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the riflescope in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a protective cover or case to prevent scratches and impacts.
- Battery Replacement: The illumination dial's windage turret cap conveniently stores a spare CR2032 3V battery. Replace the battery when the illumination dims or ceases to function.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KAHLES K18i riflescope, consider the following:
- Illumination not working: Check the battery. Ensure it is correctly inserted and has sufficient charge. A spare battery is located in the windage turret cap.
- Reticle blurry: Adjust the fast focus eyepiece until the reticle is sharp for your vision.
- Inaccurate shots: Verify that the riflescope is securely mounted and that all screws are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. Ensure the turrets are properly zeroed.
- Difficulty adjusting zoom/turrets: Ensure no debris is obstructing the mechanisms. If resistance is unusually high or low, contact KAHLES customer support.
