5. Safety Information
WARNING: Electrical installation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always disconnect power before installing or servicing the meter.
- Ensure all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the wiring diagram.
- Do not operate the meter outside its specified voltage and current ranges.
- Avoid exposing the meter to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures beyond its operating limits.
- The transparent casing is for observation; do not open the meter unless specifically instructed by a qualified technician.
6. Installation Instructions
The DTM024 meter is designed for DIN rail mounting. Refer to the wiring diagram for correct electrical connections.
6.1. Mounting
- Ensure the main power supply is disconnected at the circuit breaker.
- Locate a suitable DIN rail within your electrical panel.
- Attach the meter securely to the DIN rail using its integrated mounting mechanism.
6.2. Wiring
The meter is a 3-phase, 4-wire energy meter. Connect the input and output wires as per the diagram below. Ensure correct phase (L1, L2, L3) and neutral (N) connections.

- Connect the incoming L1, L2, L3, and Neutral wires to the 'IN' terminals (1, 3, 5, 7 respectively).
- Connect the outgoing L1, L2, L3, and Neutral wires to the 'OUT' terminals (2, 4, 6, 8 respectively).
- Ensure all terminal screws are tightened securely to prevent loose connections and potential hazards.
- After wiring, double-check all connections against the diagram before restoring power.

7. Operation
Once properly installed and powered, the meter will automatically begin measuring energy consumption.
7.1. Reading the Display
- The LCD provides a 6+2 digit display, showing total energy consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). The first six digits represent whole kWh, and the last two digits (after the decimal point) represent fractions of a kWh.
- The backlight ensures readability in various lighting conditions.
7.2. Indicator Lights
- The L1, L2, and L3 indicators will illuminate when the respective phases are active and power is flowing through them.
- The pulse indicator (400imp/kWh) will flash to indicate energy consumption. Each flash represents a specific amount of energy consumed, as defined by the pulse constant.
8. Maintenance
The Yanmis DTM024 Digital Electric Power Meter is designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. However, periodic checks are recommended.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the meter. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring connections to ensure they remain tight and free from corrosion.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage.
- Do not attempt to open or repair the meter yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DTM024 meter, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Display/No Power:
- Check the main power supply to ensure it is active.
- Verify all wiring connections are secure and correctly installed according to the diagram.
- Ensure the operating voltage is within the specified range (3x220/380V).
- Incorrect Readings:
- Confirm that the current and voltage ratings of the meter match your electrical system.
- Re-check wiring for any misconnections, especially phase and neutral lines.
- Ensure the meter is not exposed to strong electromagnetic interference.
- Pulse Indicator Not Flashing:
- Verify that there is actual energy consumption occurring in the circuit being measured.
- Check if the L1, L2, L3 indicators are illuminated, indicating active phases.
If the problem persists after performing these checks, contact a qualified electrician or the product supplier for assistance.
10. Compliance and Standards
This meter complies with international standards IEC62052-11 and IEC62053-21 for electricity metering equipment. It is designed for accurate and reliable energy measurement in accordance with these standards.
