1. Product Overview
The Tiiwee TWWS03 is a window and door sensor designed to enhance the security of your home alarm system. It detects the opening and closing of windows and doors, triggering an alarm when connected to a compatible Tiiwee Home Alarm System. This sensor is an improved model, incorporating user feedback from previous versions (TWWS01 and TWWS02) to offer enhanced reliability and user-friendliness.

2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Battery Installation
- Gently slide the main sensor unit off its backplate.
- Insert the included AAA alkaline battery into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Slide the main sensor unit back onto its backplate until it clicks securely.
2.2 Mounting the Sensor
The TWWS03 sensor can be mounted using either the provided adhesive pads or screws. Two sets of adhesive pads and screws are included for versatile installation.

Adhesive Mounting:
- Clean the surface where the sensor will be mounted, ensuring it is dry and free of dust or grease.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of an adhesive pad and apply it to the back of the sensor unit and the magnet unit.
- Peel off the remaining protective film and firmly press the sensor and magnet onto the desired surface.
Screw Mounting:
- Mark the desired mounting positions for the sensor and magnet units.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary.
- Secure the backplates of the sensor and magnet units using the provided screws.
- Slide the sensor and magnet units onto their respective secured backplates.
- For added security, you can use the optional locking screw on the underside of the main sensor unit to fix it to the backplate.
2.3 Placement Guidelines
For optimal performance, ensure the sensor and magnet are aligned correctly and the gap between them does not exceed 5mm when the window or door is closed. Incorrect placement can lead to false alarms or missed detections.

Figure 3: Correct and incorrect installation examples for the TWWS03 sensor, illustrating the maximum 5mm gap requirement.
2.4 Pairing with Tiiwee Home Alarm System
The TWWS03 sensor is designed to work seamlessly with Tiiwee Home Alarm Systems (e.g., A3, X1, X3, A1). Refer to your specific Tiiwee alarm system's manual for detailed instructions on how to pair new sensors. Generally, this involves putting the alarm system into pairing mode and then activating the sensor (e.g., by opening and closing the door/window it's installed on).

3. Operating the Sensor
Once installed and paired with your Tiiwee Home Alarm System, the TWWS03 sensor operates automatically. When the alarm system is armed, any separation of the sensor and magnet units (indicating an open window or door) will trigger the alarm according to your system's settings.
The small LED indicator on the main sensor unit may flash briefly during operation or when the battery is low.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Replacement
The TWWS03 sensor uses one AAA alkaline battery, which typically lasts 8-12 months depending on usage. When the battery is low, your Tiiwee alarm system may indicate this, or the sensor's LED might behave differently (refer to your alarm system's manual for specific low battery indications).
- Disarm your Tiiwee Home Alarm System before replacing the battery to avoid accidental alarms.
- If the sensor was secured with a locking screw, carefully remove it.
- Slide the main sensor unit off its backplate.
- Remove the old AAA battery and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity.
- Slide the sensor unit back onto its backplate. If desired, re-insert the locking screw.
- Test the sensor by opening and closing the protected window/door to ensure it communicates with the alarm system.
4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the sensor and magnet units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the plastic casing.
5. Troubleshooting
- Sensor not detecting:
- Check battery level and replace if necessary.
- Ensure the gap between the sensor and magnet is no more than 5mm when closed (refer to Figure 3).
- Verify that the sensor is correctly paired with your Tiiwee Home Alarm System.
- Ensure the sensor and magnet are aligned properly.
- False alarms:
- Check the gap between the sensor and magnet. If it's too wide or unstable, it might trigger.
- Ensure the mounting surface is stable and not subject to vibrations that could cause the sensor/magnet to shift.
- Difficulty pairing:
- Ensure your Tiiwee alarm system is in pairing mode.
- Confirm the sensor has a fresh battery.
- Try moving the sensor closer to the alarm system during the pairing process.
