  • Cleaning: Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or electronic components.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check the mortise lock body for smooth operation. If needed, apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the latch and deadbolt mechanisms.

6. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are low or depleted, replace them.
  • Handle not engaging/unlocking: This can sometimes be caused by a dislodged internal pin or spring mechanism.
  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if the issue persists.
  • Keypad not responding: Check for power. Clean the keypad surface.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range. For WiFi, ensure your router is 2.4GHz compatible and the lock is properly configured.
