Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the mouse and its accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present:

2. Connecting the USB Receiver
- Locate an available USB port on your computer (PC or laptop).
- Insert the USB receiver into the USB port.
- The operating system (Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux) will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This process may take a few moments.
- Once the drivers are installed, the mouse is ready for use.

Operation
Basic Functions
- Left Click: Primary function, used for selecting items and interacting with software.
- Right Click: Secondary function, typically opens context menus.
- Scroll Wheel: Used for scrolling through documents and web pages. Can also function as a middle click button.
DPI Adjustment
The Jedel W400 features an adjustable DPI (Dots Per Inch) switch, allowing you to change the mouse sensitivity on the fly. This is particularly useful for gaming, where different sensitivities may be preferred for various situations.

- Locate the DPI switch button, usually positioned near the scroll wheel (refer to Figure 1).
- Press the DPI button to cycle through the available DPI settings: 800 DPI and 1600 DPI.
- The mouse cursor speed will change immediately, indicating the new DPI setting.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To ensure optimal performance and hygiene, regularly clean your mouse.
- Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture.
- For optical sensor cleaning, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the sensor area on the underside of the mouse.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Mouse Not Responding
- Check USB Connection: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port.
- Power Cycle: Unplug the USB receiver, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.
- Restart Computer: Sometimes a simple computer restart can resolve connectivity issues.
- Interference: Ensure there are no other wireless devices operating on the same frequency (2.4GHz) nearby that might cause interference.
Erratic Cursor Movement
- Clean Optical Sensor: Dust or debris on the optical sensor can cause erratic movement. Refer to the "Cleaning" section for instructions.
- Surface: Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable, non-reflective, and uniform surface. Mouse pads are recommended.
