Installation

The Sena 50R-01 is designed for easy installation into most motorcycle helmets. Ensure your helmet has appropriate space for the speakers and microphone placement.

1. Mount the Main Unit: Choose a suitable location on the side of your helmet for the main unit. Use either the clamp kit or the adhesive mount to securely attach the unit.
2. Install Speakers: Place the HD speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound quality. Use the provided hook-and-loop fasteners if necessary.
3. Install Microphone: Select either the boom microphone (for open-face or modular helmets) or the wired microphone (for full-face helmets). Route the microphone cable discreetly along the helmet's interior. Position the microphone close to your mouth for clear voice transmission.
4. Connect Components: Plug the speaker and microphone cables into the corresponding ports on the main unit. Ensure all connections are secure.

Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the Sena 50R-01. The device supports rapid charging and can also receive automatic firmware updates during charging via the WiFi Cable.

• Connect the USB-C end of the WiFi Cable to the Sena 50R-01 unit.
• Plug the other end of the WiFi Cable into a USB power source.
• The LED indicator on the unit will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 1 hour.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Center Button and the (+) Button for 1 second.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Center Button and the (+) Button for 5 seconds.

Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your Sena 50R-01 to your smartphone or other Bluetooth devices:

1. With the headset off, press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue alternately.
2. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
3. Select "Sena 50R" from the list of available devices.
4. If prompted, enter the PIN "0000".

Mesh Intercom Communication

The Sena 50R-01 features Mesh 2.0 technology for enhanced intercom capabilities.

• Open Mesh: Allows a near-unlimited number of users to communicate within range across nine channels. Simply press the Mesh Intercom Button to enter Open Mesh.
• Group Mesh: Create a private communication group with up to 24 participants. This mode offers enhanced privacy and stability for smaller, dedicated groups.

Voice Commands and Digital Assistants

Control your 50R-01 hands-free using voice commands. The device supports multi-language voice commands and direct access to your smartphone's digital assistants.

Audio Functions

• Phone Calls: Answer incoming calls by tapping the Center Button. End calls by pressing the Center Button for 2 seconds.
