4. Setup and Installation

1. Choose Location: Select an outdoor location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. This is crucial for optimal battery charging. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that might block sunlight or cast shadows.
2. Mounting Height: For best motion detection and light coverage, install the light at a height of approximately 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) from the ground.
3. Prepare Wall: Mark the positions for drilling holes using the light's mounting holes as a template.
4. Drill Holes: Drill two holes at the marked positions. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.
5. Secure Light: Align the light with the wall plugs and secure it firmly using the provided mounting screws.
6. Initial Charge: Before first use, allow the solar light to charge in direct sunlight for at least 8-10 hours to ensure the battery is fully charged.

5. Operating Instructions

The LECLSTAR solar light features a convenient button on the front to cycle through three distinct lighting modes. The light will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, operating according to the selected mode.

Press the button repeatedly to switch between modes:

• Mode 1 (Motion Sensor Mode): The light remains off until motion is detected. When motion is detected, the light turns on at full brightness for approximately 15-20 seconds, then turns off.
• Mode 2 (Dim Light + Motion Sensor Mode): The light stays on at a low brightness continuously. When motion is detected, it switches to full brightness for approximately 15-20 seconds, then returns to low brightness.
• Mode 3 (Constant Light Mode): The light turns on at a medium brightness at dusk and stays on continuously for approximately 4-6 hours or until the battery depletes, then turns off.
• Off: Pressing the button after Mode 3 will turn the light off.

Note: The actual duration of illumination in Constant Light Mode (Mode 3) may vary depending on the amount of sunlight received during the day and the battery charge level.

6. Maintenance

• Solar Panel Cleaning: Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean solar panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging.
• Inspection: Periodically check the light for any physical damage or loose mounting screws.
• Battery: The integrated lithium-ion battery is designed for long-term use and is not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to open the unit.
