4. Setup

5. Operating the Vacuum Cleaner
5.1 Power On/Off and Speed Selection
The Bosch BHN24L features two speed settings for versatile cleaning.
- To turn on the vacuum cleaner, press the power button. It will start in the default speed setting.
- To switch to the higher speed setting, press the speed selection button (if available, or press the power button again if it cycles through speeds).
- To turn off the vacuum cleaner, press the power button again.

5.2 General Use
This lightweight and portable vacuum is ideal for quick clean-ups around the house, in your car, or at your desk.
- Hold the vacuum cleaner by the handle and direct the nozzle towards the area to be cleaned.
- For larger debris or general surfaces, use the standard nozzle.
- For tight spaces, corners, or upholstery, attach the crevice tool.
- The vacuum offers up to 45 minutes of runtime on a full charge, depending on the speed setting used.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
6.1 Emptying the Dust Container
Empty the dust container regularly, especially when the maximum fill line is reached, to maintain suction power.
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is switched off.
- Locate the release button for the dust container (usually near the nozzle).
- Press the button and detach the dust container from the main unit.
- Hold the container over a waste bin and open its lid or release mechanism to empty the contents.
- Reattach the dust container securely until it clicks into place.

6.2 Cleaning the Filter
The filter is washable and should be cleaned periodically to prevent clogging and maintain suction.
- With the dust container detached, carefully remove the filter assembly.
- Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust.
- Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
- Once dry, reassemble the filter into the dust container and reattach the container to the vacuum cleaner.

7. Troubleshooting
