Product Overview
The BLACK+DECKER 40V MAX Blower/Vacuum (LSWV36) is a versatile cordless tool designed for clearing debris from hard surfaces and collecting light yard waste. It operates on a 40V MAX Lithium-Ion battery (LBX2040) for extended runtime and consistent power.

Setup and Assembly
1. Charging the Battery
The 40V MAX Lithium-Ion battery (LBX2040) is shipped partially charged. Before first use, fully charge the battery. Lithium-ion batteries hold a charge up to 5 times longer than NiCad batteries and are always ready for use.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
- Slide the battery pack onto the charger. Ensure it is fully seated. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the battery to charge until the indicator light shows a full charge (refer to charger manual for specific light patterns).
- Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.

2. Attaching the Blower Tube
- Ensure the battery is removed from the unit.
- Align the blower tube with the outlet on the front of the unit.
- Push the tube firmly until it clicks into place.
3. Attaching the Vacuum Tube and Collection Bag
- Ensure the battery is removed from the unit.
- Remove the blower tube if attached.
- Attach the vacuum tube to the main intake port.
- Securely attach the collection bag to the discharge port. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent debris leakage.

4. Installing the Battery
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
- Slide the battery into the port until it locks securely in place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
Operating Instructions
This lightweight unit weighs approximately 6.9 pounds in vacuum mode, making it easy to maneuver.
1. Blower Mode Operation
- Ensure the blower tube is securely attached and the battery is installed.
- Hold the unit firmly with both hands.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to start the blower.
- Direct the airflow to clear leaves and debris from desired areas.
- Release the ON/OFF switch to stop the blower.

2. Vacuum Mode Operation
Note: This product is optimized for light debris and dry leaves, and may not be suitable for heavy, wet, or matted leaf cleanup.
- Ensure the vacuum tube and collection bag are securely attached and the battery is installed.
- Hold the unit firmly with both hands.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to start the vacuum.
- Slowly sweep the vacuum tube over the debris to be collected.
- Monitor the collection bag and empty it when full to maintain optimal suction.
- Release the ON/OFF switch to stop the vacuum.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
1. Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or solvents.
- Clear any debris from the air intake vents to prevent overheating.
2. Cleaning the Collection Bag
- Empty the collection bag frequently.
- For thorough cleaning, the bag can be rinsed with water and allowed to air dry completely before reattaching.

3. Battery Care and Storage
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Charge them periodically.
