3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the BC200 using the provided USB Type-C cable. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours and provides up to 36 hours of operation in GPS mode.

3.2 Mounting the Device

Attach the standard bike computer mount to your bicycle's handlebars or stem. Secure the BC200 onto the mount by aligning the tabs and twisting until it locks into place.

3.3 Initial Configuration

Upon first power-on, you will be prompted to set basic parameters:

  1. Language: Select your preferred language (English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Turkish, etc.).
  2. Time Zone: Adjust the time zone to your current location.
  3. Units: Choose between metric (km/h, km) or imperial (mph, miles) units.
  4. Wheel Circumference: Input your bicycle's wheel circumference for accurate speed and distance readings if not using GPS.

3.4 Pairing External Sensors

The BC200 supports Bluetooth and ANT+ sensors such as heart rate monitors, cadence sensors, speed sensors, and power meters. To pair a sensor:

  1. Ensure the sensor is active and within range of the BC200.
  2. Navigate to the 'Sensor' menu on the BC200.
  3. Select 'Add Sensor' and choose the type of sensor you wish to pair.
  4. The BC200 will scan for available sensors. Select your sensor from the list to connect.

3.5 CoospoRide App Connection

The CoospoRide app allows for quick device settings adjustment, firmware updates, and data synchronization. Download the CoospoRide app from your smartphone's app store.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Open the CoospoRide app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your BC200 device.
  3. Once connected, you can customize display pages, update firmware, and sync ride data.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Button Functions

The BC200 features multiple buttons for navigation and control. Refer to the device's physical buttons for specific functions:

  • Left Button: Power On/Off (long press), Backlight (short press).
  • Middle Button: Confirm selection, Start/Pause ride.
  • Right Button: Navigate menus, Lap function.

4.2 Display Customization

The BC200 allows you to customize up to 70+ data fields across multiple display pages. This can be done directly on the device or more conveniently via the CoospoRide app.

  1. Access the 'Settings' menu on the BC200.
  2. Select 'Display' or 'Data Fields' to configure each page.
  3. Each page can display 2 to 9 types of data, such as speed, distance, heart rate, cadence, power, altitude, temperature, and calories.

4.3 Starting and Ending a Ride

  1. Start: Press the Middle Button to begin recording your ride. Ensure GPS signal is acquired for accurate tracking.
  2. Pause: Press the Middle Button during a ride to pause recording.
  3. End: Long press the Middle Button to end and save the ride.

4.4 Automatic Backlight

The BC200 features an automatic backlight that adjusts based on ambient light conditions, ensuring readability in both bright sunlight and low-light environments.

4.5 Data Synchronization

After completing a ride, you can synchronize your data:

  • Via CoospoRide App: Connect the BC200 to the CoospoRide app via Bluetooth. The app can then upload your ride data to platforms like Strava or TrainingPeaks.
  • Via USB: Connect the BC200 to a computer using the USB cable. The device will appear as a mass storage device, allowing you to transfer ride files (e.g., .fit files) for manual upload to cycling platforms.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the screen or casing. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Charge the device periodically if stored for extended periods.

5.3 Storage

Store the BC200 in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is clean before storage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, try a soft reset by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds.
  • No GPS signal: Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. GPS acquisition may take longer in urban areas or under heavy tree cover.
  • Sensors not pairing: Check that the sensor's battery is not depleted and that it is active. Ensure the sensor is compatible (Bluetooth or ANT+). Try restarting both the BC200 and the sensor.
  • Data not syncing to app: Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the BC200 is connected to the CoospoRide app. Check for app updates.
  • Screen not readable: The automatic backlight should adjust. If not, check the backlight settings in the device menu. Ensure the screen is clean and free from smudges.
