This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Dynastus Siphon Feed HVLP Suction Air Spray Gun. The Dynastus Siphon Feed HVLP Spray Gun requires a 7-12 CFM / 3 HP air compressor for optimal performance. It is capable of handling various coatings such as lacquer, enamel, stain, primer, and urethane.

Setup and Assembly

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present, including the spray gun, siphon feed cup, extra spanner, handle toothbrush, and 1/4-inch NPT female thread quick coupler plug.
2. Attach Siphon Feed Cup: Securely attach the 33 oz siphon feed cup to the bottom of the spray gun body. Ensure a tight seal to prevent leaks and maintain proper suction.
3. Connect Air Supply: Attach the included 1/4-inch NPT female thread quick coupler plug to your air hose. Connect the air hose to the air inlet on the spray gun. Ensure the connection is secure.
4. Prepare Paint: Thin your paint according to the manufacturer's recommendations for spray application. Strain the paint to remove any particles that could clog the nozzle.
5. Fill Siphon Feed Cup: Pour the prepared paint into the siphon feed cup. Do not overfill.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjust Air Pressure: Set your air compressor to the recommended pressure for your paint and desired finish (typically 20-30 PSI for HVLP).
2. Adjust Fluid Flow: Turn the fluid adjustment knob to control the amount of paint. Start with a moderate setting and adjust as needed.
3. Adjust Spray Pattern:
   • Pattern Width: Use the pattern adjustment knob to widen or narrow the spray fan.
   • Fan Direction: Rotate the fan direction change ring on the air cap to switch between horizontal and vertical spray patterns. This allows for spraying across or up and down surfaces.
4. Test Spray: Before applying to your workpiece, test the spray pattern on a scrap piece of material. Adjust settings until you achieve a consistent, even spray without runs or excessive overspray.
5. Application: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance (typically 6-8 inches). Use smooth, overlapping strokes. Release the trigger at the end of each pass.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning after each use is essential for the longevity and performance of your spray gun.

1. Empty Paint: Empty any remaining paint from the siphon feed cup.
2. Flush with Solvent: Fill the cup with an appropriate cleaning solvent (e.g., paint thinner for oil-based paints, water for water-based paints). Spray the solvent through the gun until it runs clear.
3. Disassemble: Disconnect the air supply. Carefully disassemble the air cap, fluid nozzle, and siphon tube. Use the included spanner for easier disassembly.
4. Clean Components: Use the handle toothbrush and cleaning solvent to thoroughly clean all paint-contacting parts. Pay close attention to the fluid nozzle and air cap to remove any dried paint. The anti-drip canister design helps minimize cleanup.
5. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the spray gun. Ensure all connections are tight.
6. Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of spray gun lubricant to moving parts and threads to ensure smooth operation.
