Setup

1. Unboxing and Placement:

• Carefully remove the cash drawer from its packaging.
• Place the cash drawer on a stable, flat surface near your Point of Sale (POS) system and receipt printer. Ensure the rubber feet are securely positioned to prevent sliding.

2. Connecting to a Receipt Printer:

The Volcora cash drawer connects to your POS system indirectly through a compatible receipt printer. It does not connect directly to a POS via USB.

1. Locate the RJ11/RJ12 cable included in the package.
2. Connect one end of the RJ11/RJ12 cable to the port on the underside of the cash drawer.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to the designated cash drawer port on your receipt printer. This port is typically labeled 'DK' (Drawer Kick) or 'Cash Drawer'.
4. Ensure your receipt printer is connected to your POS system and configured to send a signal to open the cash drawer upon transaction completion. Refer to your printer's manual for specific configuration instructions.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Cash Drawer:

The cash drawer can be opened in three ways:

• Manual Open: Insert one of the provided keys into the lock cylinder and turn it to the 'Manual Open' position. The drawer will spring open.
• Auto Open (via Printer/POS): When connected to a compatible receipt printer and POS system, the drawer will automatically open after a transaction is completed and a receipt is printed. Ensure the key is in the 'Electric Control' position for this function.
• Locked: Turn the key to the 'Lock' position to secure the drawer. The drawer cannot be opened manually or electronically in this position.

2. Using the Cash Tray:

• The cash tray features 4 bill slots with metal clips to secure currency.
• The 5-coin compartment can be removed to create additional storage space beneath for larger items or to adjust the configuration.

3. Using the Media Slot:
